ysl orange fusion (core)

orange fusion was in the first wave of the ysl rebrand, so long ago that it's number is 2.

it is such a gorgeous, summery orange. it is a jelly, which is the finish i didn't understand in the beginning, but then it became something i really love and always describe as delicious. it is a proper medium orange.

the finish is solid for a jelly, it builds up nicely with two coats, but it still has a bit of a VNL, which i don't mind.

picture polish sage (collaboration shade)

here comes yet another picture polish collaboration shade, and this time, it is the gorgeous sage.

sage was created back in 2018 with LakoDom, and how this shade came to life is a bit misterious: "riginally created to be something different however during the development process was born and to beautiful not to bring to life."

it is as close to a real deal sage as it could be: a light, muted green, almost like a sea foam, with holo flakes. it has a jelly-like consistency, but the colour really builds up nicely.

picture polish lagoon (collaboration shade)

lagoon was one of my first picture polishes, it was a part of my second ever order. i knew i wanted one of quite a few blues, but it was so hard to choose one. in the end, lagoon was the one that looked the most interesting to me.

lagoon is creation of sam from great blog called fashion polish. their desription: "lagoon is a turquoise jelly holo (scattered) with a subtle smattering of ariel green glitter."

i am completely in love with this shade. the base color is amazing, the scattered holo particles give it a bling, but what i love the most is the turquoise hex glitter that looks buried in the bottom layer. even though it's jelly, the opacity is amazing. what's weird, i think i love it even more in the shade.

picture polish aquatic (collaboration shade)

aquatic was created in 2019 as another edition in picture polish collaboration range.

aquatic was created together with vlogger sepswep. inspiration was "the beauty of cold arctic ocean and its deep and mysterious waters".  it is a dark, deep teal with holo flakes. it is a jelly, which gives it that kind-of-transparent but still opaque look.

i am torn when it comes to jellies. it is a complete disaster in some polishes, but it looks amazing in others. luckily, this one is the latter. it is even better as a jelly, as the holo particles pop out more.

picture polish freya's cats (collaboration shade with nihrida)

i love picture polish collaboration shade, and today is the time for freya's cats made together with nihrida back in 2013.

i can't have enough of blue holos, so i couldn't resist freya's cats. they describe it as an electric blue nail polish that also features dazzling holo flakes.

the blue in this one is almost electric, and even though it's jelly, it has good coverage with two coats. the holo particles are of the scattered type, dense and give a really good effect.

picture polish fantasy (collaboration shade)

fantasy is yet another in my huge collaboration shade collection from picture polish. fantasy was created in 2018, with the now defunct simpy polish blog.

fantasy is decribed as a dark berry plum, with a scattering holo effect. as other polishes of this type, it is a nicely saturated jelly, with good coverage with two coats. it is gorgeous and a bit vampy, but with a twist.

picture polish forest (collaboration shade)

i am a huge fan of picture polish collaboration shades, because they are always fun and unusual colours, not the ones you can find in your regular drugstore. forest is one of those beauties, created  in autumn 2017 with lacquertech.

forest is such an interesting green shade, described as "warm green jelly with scattered yellow and holo flakes". i really love the choice of green and yellow glitter, it really makes this polish special, together with little holo particles, that are probably not that visible on a gloomy day.

it is a jelly, so the coverage is not your full-on 100%, but i love the look. it needs a good top coat to level it out and give it a glossy look, so that the end result is perfect.

dance legend tetraodon (caviar)

dance legend quickly became one of my favourite brands. today i'm showing tetraodon from the caviar collection. it is fish inspired, and a little bit down, you can see the actual  tetraodon.

this collection is really cute. the idea is the same; a saturated jelly base, in this case, medium green, with the same black hexagonal and white square micro glitter.

it looks really interesting in real life. even though it is glittery, it doesn't eat up the top coat. it looks really cute and i ended picking up another one from the collection.

ysl rose luminescent (shimmer rush)

after blanc figuratif, i am showing the second polish from ysl spring 2019 collection shimmer rush called rose luminescent.

first, a disclaimer: i was totally unaware that rose luminescent is supposed to be worn as a topper. oops. i mean, it makes sense, it is a jelly-like, sheer pink base with iridescent, gold-ish glass flecks.

i didn't let the potential sheerness to sway me away from wearing it solo, so that is what i did. i will definitely wear it as a topper at some point, but i think it works this way as well.
