picture polish peacock (opulence shades)

the polish of the day is peacock from picture polish opulence collection, because i simply couldn't resist a polish with such a name!

the base color is dark purple jelly, filled with emerald green mostly hexagonal glitter. because of the base colour, it looks like the glitter is actually multicoloured. i will eventually layer it over some purple creme, to see what colour pops out. to me, it looks like an emerald version of china glaze skyscraper.

when it comes to formula and the opacity, it's one of those polishes that, after the first coat, you think it could never get opaque, but with the second thicker one, everything looks good. bottom line, i like it and i don't regret getting it.

picture polish darcy (opulence)

today i'm showing the gorgeous darcy from picture polish opulence collection.

i was a kid when the bbc's pride and prejudice 1995. version appeared, but i was completely in love with it. even suggesting that there can be another elizabeth bennet and fitzwilliam darcy other than jennifer ehle and colin firth seems like blasphemy. i even rewatched it last weekend! so, when i saw  that picture polish launched a trio combining the classical (with lizzie) and modern (with bridget) darcy, i knew i have to get it.

yes, black scattered polish isn't the most unique thing in the world (i showed a england's bridal veil just a couple of posts ago), but since these polishes are one of my go-tos for clubbing, i knew it is a good investment. oh, and did i mention it is called darcy?! it is completely black, amazingly pigmented with excellent application.

picture polish bridget (opulence)

the time has finally come to share gorgeous picture polish bridget from the opulence collection, launcehd in 2014.

i already showed eyre, pandoragalachameleon and glitch,  from the collection, so it is about time to bring out the modern part of the sub-colection that was a pride and prejudice/bridget jones-mash up.

the  red scattered holo polishes tend to lean more on the pinkish or burgundy side. this one, with some burned orange undertones, is not that usual. it is a saturated, gorgeous red with an amazing formula.

picture polish eyre (opulence)

it's time for this absolute stunner: picture polish eyre, released as the addition to their opulence collection in 2014.

it is a metallic blurple shade filled with holo flakes, which is probably in my top 3 favourite finishes. everything about it is amazing, it was so hard to limit the number of pictures. the formula is also great, two regular coats.

eyre is gorgeous in every light, but i just adore it when it's gloomy because, even though it doesn't show all of its sparkle, it becomes so misterious. i will update this post with pictures in direct sun at some point.

picture polish pandora (opulence)

i am finally showing pandora from picture polish's opulence collection from 2014.

pandora is a really gorgeous shade. a dark-leaning purple with that awesome scattered holo effect that makes it look alive.

formula is great, two coats give perfect coverage and the finish is smooth even without a top coat.

picture polish gala (opulence)

picture polish gala was released in spring 2016 and added to the opulence collection that already had glitch and subsequently added chameleon.

gala is a gorgeous, prerfect purple shade. it is decribed as a dusky violet scatter holo, but to be honest, i don't see the dusk part. i love the holo flecks, it is one of my favourite finishes.

it has a solid formula and two coats are enough for perfect opacity.

picture polish chameleon (opulence)

chameleon is the newest addition to the picture polish's opulence collection, and truly lives up to it's name!

chameleon is a proper multichrome, shifting from purple to blue and teal. it is seriously out of this world. it looks so special and magical. i was asked about it more than for any other polish, and a coworker immediately asked to borrow it.

it has a great coverage, applies smoothly, and it is overall a winner.

picture polish glitch (opulence)

glitch came as an update to picture polish opulence shades in 2015.

it is a kind of christmas-y emerald green jelly, with holo flakies that picture polish is known for. it is slightly lighter in colour than in my pictures, but not by much.

it dries smoothly and has good coverage, despite the jellyness.
