dior delice (sparkling shine)

sparkling shine from dior was such a beautiful collection, so after spring ball, i am showing delice.

delice was my first jump into the coral shades. while spring ball leans toward the peachy part of the coral spectrum, delice goes to the orange. it's a very vibrant color, with pink, peach and silver shimmer. it's a perfect shade for those sunny summer days.

formula was top notch,  no problems with the application and it's practically a one-coater.

opi ds couture (designer series 04)

couture is one of the first polishes in opi's designer series collection (4th, to be exact), which means it was probably launched in 2007. so far i swatched illuminate, extravagance, fantasy, tapestry, mystery and radiance.

couture is one of those shades that is almost impossible to describe. it is pink and coral and bronze and peach at the same time. it is maybe a bit underwhelming, but a safe choice. 

i remember these early holos to be thin and hard to work with, but i think i exaggerated it in my head as it was fairly regular. two coats were enough. it is not a polish i dream of wearing, but it is  neutral one that can blend in.

opi jinx (bond girls)

opi's summer of 2014 bond girls collection consisted only of liquid sand polishes. i got three, and  after honey ryder and solitaire, i am showing jinx.

opi's description: " this mesmerizing matte coral has lucky sparkle. " when i was watching promo pictures, and then swatches from other bloggers, jinx became my surprising favorite. i'm repeating myself, but corals, peaches and similar shades were never my cup of tea, but jinx somehow mesmerised me!

when i got it, somehow it looked too intense, too flashy, too...much. but then, i finally had it on my nails and it was complete love. this bright orangy coral with golden shimmer practically screams summer! it looks amazing, dries quickly and you can remove it regularly like any other polish. i caught myself often staring at my nails.

ysl op art coral (pop illusion)

op art coral was a part of ysl spring collection, pop illusion, back in 2018, together with the gorgeous kinetic blue.

op art coral is a very interesting shade, but not really something i usually wear. i am really not the one for this typically "girly" colours, but i am happy i have something like this in my arsenal because it is a nice summery shade.

as the name implies, it is a peachy, corally type of shade, almost pastel but not quite. the formula and coverage are superb, and it really is a good polish to have around when i need something more...well, regular.

natural light:

zoya tosca (classics)

tosca is one of the zoya oldies, it hard to pin it's original collection, but now it is a part of their classics.

i always forget about this polish during the gloomy days, but remember it the second the sun starts.

i believe that the strawberry red with the touch of coral is the best colour description. shimmer looks really dense in the bottle, but it is subtle on the nails. the formula is also nice, a real spring/summer treat.

wet n wild heatwave (wildshine)

heatwave is my only wet n wild polish, and it is now part of their core collection, wildshine, that was revamped quite a few years ago.

i got heatwave as a present at least 5 years ago, and i wear it quite a lot, but those sort of shades are the ones that are the most difficult to capture accurately and i was never truly happy with the photos. i am not that close to finishing the bottle, but i am more than a halfway done, so i decided it is the time to get it over with.

it is a perfect coral shade. don't let the photos trick you, it is a proper coral, with equal amounts of red and orange overtones. it is one of my go-to summer shades. formula is pretty decent with great coverage.

china glaze jamaican out (core)

jamaican out is a part of china glaze core collection,  but quite a while ago. back in the day it was easy to find, not sur on the current situation. 

this is one of the polishes i got solely because of the name (see the pattern with essie jamaica me crazy :D), but i otherwise find it to be borderline hideous.

when i went through the pics, i was surprised that it looks much better than in real life. when i was wearing it, i felt like an old lady and was quite nervous. the color is weird to describe, depending on the lightning, and your own skin tone, it can be more red, coral and orange. the goldish shimmer is what i think is the problem, though. formula is standardly ok.

dior spring ball (sparkling shine)

i  love dior's sparkling shine collection, and, together with today's star spring ball, i own diablotine and delice as well, missing out only on princess.

i was a bit skeptical if this polish really is my cup of tea, but the shade was the same as my girliest flowery summer trousers i own, and thought they would be a good match. i have to say it was a good choice.

i really don't feel comfortable wearing those colours both on nails or having them in my closet, it's way out my comfort zone, but dior did something to me with those sugary shades that made me so enchanted by them.  spring ball is somewhere between coral and peach shimmery cuteness. it is subtler than i expected, so i didn't feel that weird having it on my nails.

formula ad application were pretty good, it is on the thicker side  but the shimmer really makes it flow. the pictures were made in shade, because i found the color to be more faithful this way.
