illamasqua facet (sacred hour)

i don't have a lot of illamasqua's, but the ones i have are amazing. and facet, from the sacred hour collection for autumn 2013,  may be my star.

facet is a perfect taupe, leaning more towards brown in sunlight and grey in the shade. it's real beauty lies in the amazing maching with the dense coppery and golden fleckish type of shimmer. i would say its really unique.

one down side, although the formula and application are good, is the opacity. it is on the sheer side, and it takes either two really thick or three thin coats for perfect coverage.

illamasqua kink (the theatre of the nameless)

my urge to show something green was fulfilled with kink from illamasqua's theatre of the nameless collection back in 2011.

i got kink and taint on a blog sale, otherwise, i'm not sure that they would catch my eye. this collection features polishes with an interesting, rubbery finish.

kink's colour is dark, winter green with some blue undertones. the formula is interesting, it's not streaky but the drying time could be better (or maybe i'm just too used to using fast drying top coats). i find this finish to be really interesting, somehow leather looking.

illamasqua mottle (i'mperfection)

when illamasqua  arrived to slovenia,  the i'mperfection collection was the first one available so i had to get one. my favourites were mottle and fragile, i finally decided on latter but it was sold out so i took the last mottle!

this collection was inspired by birds' eggs. i love this polish, it really holds a special place in my collection. the base is pastel, almost mint green creme, with black glitter in various shapes (round and hex) and sizes. i love this speckled effect, but also the depth of the base colour.

even though it's glittery polish, the formula was superb, no problems with applications, i really have nothing to complain about, so on to the pictures!

illamasqua nomad (human fundamentalism)

it is about time i showed illamasqua's nomad from their 2012. human fundamentalism collection.

llamasqua is known for their bold collections and advertisement. unfortunately, they became available to me as i was leaving my previous country, so i didn't really get the chance to explore them too much. nevertheless, nomad was my first choice since it really was an unique shade in my collection.

to me, this polish is completely illogical. the shade is a tad too green to be really mint. they describe it as "bright jade" and i have to agree. it is a creme, but somehow pastel and glossy at the same. i'm sure there are dupes (picture polish jade looks similar enough to me), but i'm kind of hooked on this one. also, it is waaay more vivid than in the promo picture.
