dance legend android (new prism)

oh, how i love good holos, and trust me, dance legend's android is one of those!

dance legend is a russian big 3 free nail polish brand that has very interesting collection, but, at least for me, new prism is their highlight, with twelve amazing holos that can compare to, or even surpass, china glaze's omg. i have aready shown gorgeous  high voltage.

i think that it's not surprising that i chose android to be my first dance legend polish. unfortunately, in pictures it's more blue than in real life, because it is an aqua green linear holo with a blue undertone.

everything about this polish is impressive! the brush is just how i like it, wide and flat, formula is dreamy and it's practically one coater, the second one is only to give further depth to the color. holographic effect is really amazing, it comes to life with just a bit of sunlight, while not being dull in the shade. the smell is a bit strong, though, i don't know is it just my bottle, but since it's so perfect, i'm not complaining. i also have some old pictures and i really had to include them!

zoya midori (ooh la la)

i am so happy that today i can show you the gorgeous zoya midori, from their ooh la la collection for summer 2009.

i discovered that midori means green in japanese, and we all know that i love my green polishes more than any other colours!

midori is described at zoya's website as "glowing medium apple green with yellow undertones and strong gold shimmer. a cocktail-green for a night out with the girls." and once again, they described it perfectly.

i find this vibrant apple green to be so delicious, and almost iridescent with the combination with the gold shimmer. it is definitely a unique polish in my otherwise vast collection :D even though it's metallic, there's no visible brush strokes and formula is good.

a england tristam (the mythicals)

i will show you a england tristam, a beauty from  the mythicals collection, the one that gave us excalibur revamped

edina from a england describes it as "night blue sky with starlight glimmer and glow". it sure is gorgeous, and she really knows how to make scattered holos. this one looks amazing both in direct light and indoors, it really stands out but is subtle at the same time. formula and application are flawless, i can't say a bad word about any a england polish.

picture polish illusionist (limited edition)

gorgeous illusionist comes from picture polish limited edition collection that was such a huge hit back in the day (the day being 2014 :)) i own this entire collection (altered state already starred), and i really have to wear them more often, instead of saving them!

ok, to say that i'm in love would be an understatement. i wore this combo for three days, and this last happened.... well, i have no idea when! i have only one problem with it: it is seriously distracting. i would catch myself sitting at work, just looking at my nails!

the dominant colors are teal green and purple, but with hints of blue, red and pink in certain angles. again, i'm wearing one coat over dance legend melange 276it is glittery, it is shimmery, it is multichrome, it has scattering holo particles. simply put, it's pure magic, a galaxy type of polish at it's finest. the pictures look best taken in shade, so that the multichrome effect is at its best.

chanel peridot (illusions d'ombres)

i think it's about time to show the gorgeous chanel peridot, from the 2011 fall collection illusions d'ombres.

when it comes to peridot, i have a story. i admit i am a latecomer when it comes to high end polishes, but peridot was the first polish of this kind that i heard of. there was an article in one serbian newspaper, that was about this collection and mentioned that in many countries, there's a waiting list for peridot. this honestly shocked me, so i was interested to see how this polish looked like, and was surprised that i immediately fell in love with it!

and it sure is one of the shades i feel most comfortable with, although i can understand that it can be too much for some people. i also understand that the first association to it is not the stone of the same name, but the common fly. nevertheless, this combination of greenish gold duochrome (green more dominant in the shade, while gold wins in direct light), with my love for metallic finishes, makes it obvious to me why so many companies tried to make the dupe for it.

it is metallic, therefore brushstrokey, but the formula is impeccable.

china glaze ingrid (vintage vixen)

i'm still in a vintage world,  and my choice is ingrid from china glaze's perfect vintage vixen collection for autumn 2010.

just look at all of the gems in this collection! only  other i have foxy, but if i had to start my collection from scratch, i would start from vintage vixen. ingrid is just perfect. base color is amazing light brown leaning to taupe, almost like molten chocolate with just the right amount of golden shimmer. i'm looking at this pictures and i want to wear it again!

i really love this polish, everything is perfect about it, including formula and application, and it's the best dupe for dior exquis that i also own and love.

fun lacquer green foliage (summer 2015)

this is my first f. u. n. lacquer, green foliage from summer 2015 collection. i got more afterwards, but this polish was the starting point!

i was really trying to resist adding another brand to my collection, but f. u. n.  lacquer polishes are so awesome that i gave up. i said i will get one for starters, and it only seemed logical that green foliage was the choice. midnight nocturne and seductive marmelade are from the same collection.

and, boy, was it worth it! i am completely in love with it, because what is there not to love: an awesome, well pigmented deep green with abundant gold holo glitter of different sizes. it looks so deep and amazing, even better in real life than in pictures.

opi i just can't cope-acabana (brazil)

summer is approaching, so it's time for bright polishes, such as opi i just can't cope-acabana from summer collection brazil 2014.

i am always open to new yellow shades, and this one is now among my favourites.

i just can't cope-acabana is a perfect, bright and somehow pastel yellow. it is such a vivid shade, with a pretty good formula, especially when you keep in mind that yellows can be a nightmare. it looks awesome in sun and i have no problems wearing it in winter as well (pictures at the bottom)!

dance legend high voltage (new prism)

i love love love linear holos. for ages, the first association to linear holos was the epic (and epically old, if we are talking about the far superior original) china glaze omg collection. in more recent times, the best ones, such as high voltage, tend to come from dance legend's new prism collection.

high voltage is an awesome, light blue linear holo. i am a big fan of the holo finish, no matter if it's scattered, linear or just as a glitter, but nice, linear blues are so special to me.

the formula is nice, it applies without problems over a regular base. it is really, really gorgeous!
