ysl love pink (boho stone)

love pink was the partner of one of my favourite polishes of all time, peace green, as a part of ysl's boho stone collection back in 2017.

like peace grean, love pink has the same gorgeous iridescent finish. as those polishes tend to do, in a really, really direct sunlight, it looks a bit washed up and it's real beauty comes when it's in shade, so i will lead with those images for a change.

it is a medium pink, and the shimmer seems to change and shift with the light type and the position of the nail. it is a bit on the sheer side, so i would reccomend three coats, even though i went with two here.

ysl rose renaissance (core)

rose renaissance is yet another polish from ysl rebranding wave back in 2009.

rose renaissance is a type of polish that i would never pay attention to, but i was so obsessed with the ysl brush, that is still pretty much my perfect brush, that i went even for the girlie shades. and this one is a pretty, slightly muted pink, a so deliciously glossy that it looks like a jelly.

the formula is, of course, impecable, and it build up nicely after two coats.

opi i think in pink (pink of hearts)

opi had this duo,  a creme i think in pink  and a glitter  you glitter be good to me, as a part of their breast cancer awareness pink of hearts  2012 collection.

i think in pink can be best described as a bubblegum pink. it is a bit sheer after the first coat, and even though there is still a bit of a visible nail line after the second, the color really builds up. i liked how it looked with two layers on me, so i stopped there. the formula is overall very easy to work with.

all that being said, i wore this polish only for the second time here, after owning it for so many years, so i decided to gift it to a friend who will give it a better home. nothing personal :) this is actually one of the nicest pinks out there, just not for me.

opi show it and glow it (burlesque)

burlesque was a super fun holiday collection from opi back in 2010. i already showed  teas-y does it and the show must go on, and now it's time for show it and glow it.

show it and glow it is a proper glitter bomb. the main colour here is fuchsia, and it is packed with pink and silver glitter.

it is quite dense, but it doesn't make lumps. two normal coats are enough for a solid coverage, with some shearer spots here an there, if you're not careful. i do intend to wear it as a topper, but i somehow never get around to it.

opi ds couture (designer series 04)

couture is one of the first polishes in opi's designer series collection (4th, to be exact), which means it was probably launched in 2007. so far i swatched illuminate, extravagance, fantasy, tapestry, mystery and radiance.

couture is one of those shades that is almost impossible to describe. it is pink and coral and bronze and peach at the same time. it is maybe a bit underwhelming, but a safe choice. 

i remember these early holos to be thin and hard to work with, but i think i exaggerated it in my head as it was fairly regular. two coats were enough. it is not a polish i dream of wearing, but it is  neutral one that can blend in.

picture polish rose (collaboration shade)

picture polish rose is yet another collaboration shade, this time with a german instragrammer, @cottonconey, and it was released in 2016.

rose is described as "cerise pink nail polish colour has holo flakes and captures the beauty of flowers". i am not that into pink polishes in general, but this one caught my eye. it is lively, with their standard silvery scattered holo effect.

the formula is standardly great, as usual.

opi tapestry (designer series 29)

i am showing one of the older opi designer series polishes, tapestry.

i had a soft spot for opi's designer series, since back in the days there was not that many holos.

tapestry is a soft shade with a colour that is hard to explain (well, for me, reds are problematic). it's mostly a red shade, with a lot of pink and even orangey undertones. formula is really nice.

chanel rose confidentiel (fall 2010)

at the first look, rose confidentiel is a not my typical colour. i've been looking for something similar for a while, with china glaze's fifth avenue as my first pick, but it was always out of stock when i looked for it. it is an ancient chanel polish from fall 2010 collection.

ages ago, when i fell in love with rose confidentiel and mentioned that it was on my wishlist on one serbian forum for polish addicts, one wonderful girl told me she has a bottle she never uses, and she gave it to me! many thanks, once again!

it was a part of chanel's autumn collection in 2010, together with rose cache and rouge fatal. it is amazing nude rose-beige pink creme with some brown undertones, or, as i like to call it, dusty pink. unfortunately, i am under impression that it changed a bit over the years, with the pink part diminishing on behalf of the brown tones.

formula also suffered and became slightly watery. nevertheless, i still love it!

ysl rose luminescent (shimmer rush)

after blanc figuratif, i am showing the second polish from ysl spring 2019 collection shimmer rush called rose luminescent.

first, a disclaimer: i was totally unaware that rose luminescent is supposed to be worn as a topper. oops. i mean, it makes sense, it is a jelly-like, sheer pink base with iridescent, gold-ish glass flecks. 

i didn't let the potential sheerness to sway me away from wearing it solo, so that is what i did. i will definitely wear it as a topper at some point, but i think it works this way as well.

picture polish new york (collaboration shade)

i am showing yet another picture polish collaboration shade. this time it is new york, created in 2015 with color4nails.

i love this polish. even though it may not look like it, it is a chameleon. the shade itself is compleh, dusty rose with some mauve-nudish hints, which make it look different for different skin tones and lighting. holo flakies are fine and dense, but not overwhelming. formula is awesome, it dries smoothly and is simply special!

picture polish sizzle (collaboration shade)

sizzle is yet another picture polish collaboration shade, this time with cosmetic sanctuary.

if there was one thing  to be sure of, is that i would not wear a pink polish. least of all, an almost neon one. but yet, i found myself looking at the swatches of this one so often, completely shocked that i like it so much. so, i decided to cut my out of my misery and finally get it.

i believe i made the right decision! it is bright, really sizzling crelly, with tiny silver holo paricles that gives it even more depth. it is absolutely gorgeous!

ysl rouge pablo (spring 2014)

today's star is ysl rouge pablo, part of their spring duo but promoted to the core line.

honestly, i wouldn't even look at this poslish if it was another brand. but, since ysl polishes are my true loves, i keep an open mind for every bottle they release.

i actually felt great wearing this. it's a very vibrant red with a strong pink undertone, but with my skintone, it goes more fuchsia then red. as usual, this is a perfect, buttery creme, amazing formula!
