ysl safran sultan (spicy)
safran sultan is definitely one of these love or hate shades, so i was
shocked that this was the only one that was sold out when i picked this
collection up on a trip. luckily, a coworker managed to find me a bottle
at an airport.
the shade is mustardy and definitely unusual. i honestly love it, but i
can understand if it's not everyone's cup of tea. formula is typically
amazing.

dior acapulco (summer mix)
dior 118 acapulco is a 2012 polish from dior's summer mix collection.
i must admit, for the longest time i hated yellow and didn't have any polish or any piece of clothing in this color. and then, something just clicked and i apsolutely love it now!
i knew i had to have acapulco when i first saw the promo pics. mind you,
this time, dior really did bad job with these because all the colors
look quite different in real life. anyway, this color screams summer! it is a bright lemony yellow, but a
REAL yellow, without any orange undertones. the formula is amazing,
especially when you have in mind that the yellows are usually a
difficult to apply. here, the formula is somehow self-leveling, even if
you have a streak, it disappears after a few seconds.
the finish has a high shine on its own (well, it says gloss on the package) and it is a jelly. i had almost a perfect coverage with two layers.

dior sunwashed (tie dye)
tie dye is dior's limited edition for the summer 2015, and sunwashed is my only pick.
i do have a soft spot for yellow polishes, but i usually opt for those
with more mango undertones. therefore, this one, a soft, lemony yellow,
is something unique in my collection.
i had no particular problems applying it. granted, it's not the polish
with a smoothest formula, but i didn't experience any brushstrokes.
there is some of that hidden micro shimmer that dior is known for.

picture polish sun flower (collaboration shade)
with the last glimpses of sun before the gloom and doom start, it is time for something fun, and sun flower for sure is fun. it was made by picture polish with collaboration with russian blogger de briz.
sun flower was released in spring 2016 together with salt water,
and they are really a good couple since they have the same holo flakey
particles. these are one of my favourite effects in a nail polish.
the shade itself is a strange shade of yellow, really sunflower-like. it also dries more dark than in the bottle. the formula is more crelly than creme, and it looks gorgeous. i know
it's not everyone's cup of tea, but it sure is mine!

dior garden (glowing gardens)
oh how i love wearing polishes like dior's garden in the summer! it was one of four polishes released in their spring 2016 glowing gardens collection.
garden is a very interesting yellowy green shade, almost pastel but with a regular creme finish. it is eye catching and somehow unique. the formula and applications were not perfect, but not far off. definitely one of the favourites for sunny days.

opi i just can't cope-acabana (brazil)
summer is approaching, so it's time for bright polishes, such as opi i just can't cope-acabana from summer collection brazil 2014.
i am always open to new yellow shades, and this one is now among my favourites.
i just can't cope-acabana is a perfect, bright and somehow pastel
yellow. it is such a vivid shade, with a pretty good formula, especially
when you keep in mind that yellows can be a nightmare. it looks awesome in sun and i have no problems wearing it in winter as well (pictures at the bottom)!

opi the it color (mod about brights)
i am obsessed with yellow polishes. i don't care what the undertone is, or if it looks good with my complexion, i just love seeing a good yellow. and opi's (ancient) the "it" colour from mod about brights collection back in 2008 is just perfect.
the "it" colour is a very interesting yellow shade. it is not quite mustard, but not your typical yellow. formula is quite decent and has minimal streaking.
