a england ascalon (the legend)

i am showing you another gem from the a england's perfect the legend collection, and the polish of the day is ascalon. this collection was insane, come on, it gave us princess sabra, order of the garter, dragon, and saint george.

i have to admit i wasn't completely aware how awesome this polish is before i had it on my nails. like being a gorgeous grey holo polish wasn't enough, they added a lavander duochrome effect in the mix. the colour shift is subtle but really beautiful and somehow natural.

i am a superfan of a england's formula, and this one is no different.

opi baby please come home (mariah carey holiday)

 i've kind of neglected texture polishes, so today i'm showing baby please come home from opi's mariah carey holiday collection for 2013.

before i mention anything about the polish itself, i have to state that i've never heard of one with a more depressing name. don't know mariah's song that inspired it, but it has to be soooo not fun.

anyway, i can see how this polish is meant for holiday season, or more generally, winter. i can see it perfectly matched with big sweaters while sipping tea. it is a beautiful, soft lavender shade with glitter in matching colour. it is a textured polish, but with a metallic look.

there is something so beautiful about a england polishes, i just can't get enough of them. the beauty of the day is fonteyn from the ballerina collection.

it's been a while since i showed encore margot from this collection, so it was about time to show this beauty. and that it really is! it is a silvery holo with a hint of lavender, with a england signature amazing formula. it truly is amazingly lovely with being unusual!

picture polish tasha (collaboration shade)

my idea of a perfect sweater-weather nail polish is tasha, one of picture polish collaboration shades from 2017.

tasha is described as "lilac grey holographic nail polish with holo flakes" created with sonia from bad girl nails, as a tribute to her puppy. and it is a puppy-like fluffy shade, a pale lavender with flakie-type of shimmer that i adore. it is very pretty.

color club fashion addict (spring 2009)

wow, i have this nail polish for so long, and i have no idea how come i never properly swatched it, so here it goes: fashion addict from color club's spring 2009 collection.

fashion addict is a very cute polish. it is this soft shade of lavender/light purple, with an awesome linear holo effect. it is on the verge of being a crazy holo, bot not quite there. it looks cute in shade as well.

it is nicely saturated polish, doesn't need a water base and i recently started wearing it quite often.
